Zhagana Village is located in Yiwa Town, Diebu County, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gansu Province. It is composed of four natural villages: Dongwa, Yeri, Dari, and Daiba. Towering peaks, deep gorges, flowing rivers, primeval forests, and traces of Quaternary glacial landforms all form a magnificent landscape.

The Tibetan villages nestled against the mountains and waters, with crisscrossing barley racks, fluttering prayer flags and distinct wooden plank houses, all accompanied by time-honored folk customs, traditional crafts and song and dance, collectively reveal the rich cultural heritage of Zhagana.

Ethnic architectures, such as water mills, bodhi towers and arrow-inserting platforms, display unique silhouettes. The variety of folk music, the powerful sounds of monastic ensembles and the exuberant ethnic dances showcase the distinct charm of Tibetan culture.

In recent years, Zhagana has leveraged its unique natural and cultural landscapes and folk traditions to develop a path in which rural tourism supports ecological conservation, fostering exchanges, interaction and unity among all ethnic groups.
