Among these, group lanterns stand out as the most distinctive. They are often inspired by traditional folk culture, classical literature, and mythological tales, and are large in scale, composed of many parts, and designed for coordinated movement. The designs are ingenious, the craftsmanship meticulous, and the materials diverse — porcelain tableware, glass bottles, silkworm cocoons, fine bamboo strips, tie-dye, silk, and more can all be used as raw materials for lantern making.
