Yandunjiao Village is located in Lidao Town, Rongcheng City, Weihai City, Shandong Province. It is a village that still preserves a large concentration of traditional seaweed houses. These coastal dwellings, unique to the Jiaodong Peninsula, are built with stone walls and seaweed roofs, often called "living specimens of Chinese ecological architecture". From November to the following March, thousands of swans migrate here from Siberia and other regions to overwinter, drawing more visitors into the fishing village to experience its distinctive natural scenery and maritime culture.

Today, Yandunjiao is no longer the remote little fishing village it once was. The seaweed houses have been transformed into themed homestays, inviting aromas drift from fisher-run eateries, and Swan Lake has become a well-known tourist spot. What remains unchanged, however, is the villagers' sincerity and kindness, their reverence and gratitude toward the sea, and their commitment to preserving their traditional culture.
