Shanghai Disney Resort, the first Disney resort destination in the Chinese mainland, comprises Shanghai Disneyland, Disneytown, the Walt Disney Grand Theatre, the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel and Toy Story Hotel, Wishing Star Park, and other outdoor recreational areas.

Shanghai Disneyland officially opened its gates on June 16, 2016. As the first Disney theme park in the Chinese mainland and the sixth worldwide, it features eight themed lands and over 30 attractions.

Eight distinctive themed lands

Shanghai Disneyland features eight distinctive themed lands:

Mickey Avenue: The very first entrance area in any Disney park worldwide to be inspired entirely by Mickey Mouse and his pals.

Gardens of  Imagination: Composed of seven uniquely styled miniature gardens, this zone hosts classic attractions like Fantasia Carousel and Dumbo the Flying Elephant.

Adventure Isle: This section features thrilling exploration-themed attractions, including "Soaring Over the Horizon" and "Roaring Rapids."

Treasure Cove: This  pirate-themed land draws its inspiration directly from the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.

Tomorrowland: This futuristic and high-tech land features signature attractions such as TRON Lightcycle    Power Run and Buzz Lightyear Planet Rescue.

Fantasyland: As the park's    largest area, Fantasyland features popular attractions such as the Seven    Dwarfs Mine Train and The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.

Disney·Pixar Toy    Story Land: Featuring attractions like Slinky Dog Spin and Rex's Racer.

Zootopia: The world's first-ever themed land dedicated entirely to the movie Zootopia.
