A settlement with a long-standing and time-honored heritage, Xidi Village is set amidst continuous mountain ranges and stunning natural beauty. The village still preserves more than 300 Ming and Qing-era residences, earning it the moniker "A Community within the Land of Peach Blossoms." The lanes in Xidi are paved with Yixian bluestone. The ancient structures are primarily timber-framed with brick exteriors, renowned for their rich and vibrant carvings in wood, stone, and brick. The village's adaptable layout and understated aesthetic make it a quintessential example of the art of traditional Hui-style architecture.
