The Water Splashing Festival is a significant celebration for the Dai, Achang, De'ang, and other ethnic minorities in Yunnan, and is recognized as a national-level intangible cultural heritage project. Scheduled annually from April 13 to 15 in the Gregorian calendar, this vibrant event sees people throughout the region partake in the celebratory dousing with water, symbolizing blessings and happiness as they welcome the Dai New Year.

1. Xishuangbanna Dai Ethnic Group Garden, Yunnan
The garden comprises five well-preserved, traditional Dai natural villages. During the Water Splashing Festival, it offers the most intense atmosphere, hosting daily large-scale water-splashing activities and captivating ethnic song and dance performances.

2. Jinghong City Center, Yunnan
