Shang Dynasty Bronze Divine Tree: Bud and Standing Bird
The excavated artifact features a bronze bird standing atop the fruit of a bronze blossom. Three crest feathers rise from the bird's head, each with a perforated tip, clearly intended to depict painted patterns on the feather ends. The tail tilts upward, with the feathers divided into three tips above and below, resembling the display of a peacock's fanned tail.

The overall form is round and full, crafted from coarse pottery clay. The eyes are carved with deep, exaggerated lines, while the round snout occupies about one-third of the face's diameter. Traces of the original ceramic coating remain on the surface, and some areas still show tool marks from trimming. Due to damage to the clay body, the tail appears naturally broken.

The gold scepter unearthed from the Sanxingdui sacrificial pit is the largest gold artifact discovered from this period in China. The scepter was made by hammering gold into thin sheets and wrapping them around a wooden staff. By the time it was unearthed, the wood had already carbonized, leaving only the gold sheet, inside which traces of the carbonized wood remain. One end of the scepter features a patterned section approximately 46 centimeters long (including fish motifs).
