The 2026 F1 Shanghai Grand Prix roared to life at the Shanghai International Circuit, drawing motorsport fans from around the world to Shanghai. We have specially prepared two curated travel routes, allowing visitors to discover a different side of Shanghai while enjoying the race.

The first route focuses on an immersive automotive culture experience, while the second highlights Jiangnan culture, offering scenic photo spots and engaging experiences.

1. Racing-Themed Tour
Beyond the thrilling F1 race, there are plenty of food, fun, and photo spots right outside the circuit.
Visitors can try a "ground-hugging flight" by driving a go-kart on the professional track at the Shanghai International Circuit, experiencing the speed and excitement brought by the roaring engine. Visitors can also take part in a variety of accompanying activities during the race, including the Shanghai Auto Culture Festival "Dream Jia Theme Park" and the 2026 Checkered Flag Carnival, where interactive installations and stage performances offer plenty of highlights to explore.
The Dream Jia Theme Park fully showcases the evolution of the automobile, allowing visitors from home and abroad to travel through time and experience the profound heritage of automotive culture.

At the 2026 Checkered Flag Carnival, visitors can lean in for a close look at the F1 cockpit or check out the tires to be used in the new F1 season.

Here's an insider tip: visitors holding tickets for the F1 Chinese Grand Prix can enjoy exclusive discounts at several attractions in Jiading District, Shanghai: free entry to Qiuxia Garden, Huilongtan Park, and Yong'an Pagoda; 20 percent off admission to Shanghai Guyi Garden and the Shanghai Auto Museum; and 50 percent off admission to Tanyuan Garden.
Not far from the circuit is a professional automobile museum where visitors can view classic cars up close and learn about vintage car culture. Models such as the Hongqi, the Cadillac DeVille Convertible, and the Volga M21 can all be seen here.

Connected to the museum is the Shanghai Automobile Expo Park, which features automobile-themed gardens inspired by different countries. It is an ideal place for strolling and photography, and visitors can also see exhibitions of future mobility technologies such as intelligent driving.

2. Cultural-Themed Tour
For visitors who want to experience a deeper cultural journey and discover more of the local life, we recommend the following destinations.
Fahua Pagoda is a landmark of Jiading. On the old street beneath the pagoda, visitors can taste local snacks such as Nanxiang Xiaolongbao and Haitang cakes. When lanterns light up in the evening, the lively charm of the Jiangnan water towns fills the air.

Nanxiang Ancient Town is a thousand-year-old town. Visitors can take a leisurely ride on a traditional black-canopy boat across the water, watching the bustling life of the ancient town. At the Nanxiang Xiaolongbao Cultural Experience Center in the town, visitors can also try making Nanxiang Xiaolongbao themselves.
