Its prototype is the Nine-Dragon Nine-Phoenix Crown of Empress Xiaoduan in the Ming Dynasty, one of the first national treasures of China prohibited from being exhibited abroad. This phoenix crown was worn by the empress during formal ceremonies. It weighs a total of 2,320 grams and is inlaid with 115 gemstones and 4,414 pearls.
