2026 Happy Chinese New Year |Thailand

The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched the "Amazing Thailand · Happy Chinese New Year 2026" celebration series. The festivities will feature flagship events in Bangkok and Hat Yai, Songkhla province, with additional activities coordinated in Nakhon Sawan, Suphan Buri, and other locations.

Featured Programs and Highlights:

Yaowarat (Chinatown): From February 7 to March 1 (daily, 6:00 PM – 11:00 PM), a grand Spring Festival lantern display themed "Ride the Fortune, Share the Future" will illuminate the stretch from Odeon Circle to Chaloem Buri Intersection, transforming the entire Chinatown into a radiant nighttime celebration.

Siam Paragon (Main Venue): From February 14 to 18 (daily, 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM), a major event will be held, kicking off with an opening ceremony for the joint Sino-Thai Blessing Eventon February 14. Highlights include large-scale festive lantern installations, performances by four premier Chinese art troupes from Beijing, Chongqing, Henan, and Fujian, as well as diverse cultural interactive experiences. These experiences range from Chinese lantern making, auspicious character rubbing, and calligraphy to Khon mask painting, paper-cutting, Thai embroidery, and handmade floral keychain crafting.

Hat Yai, Songkhla province: The "Amazing Thailand · Happy Chinese New Year 2026" event on Saneha Nusorn Road will feature cultural performances from Fujian, traditional lion dances, sophisticated acrobatics, and night light shows.

Nakhon Sawan: The Pak Nam Pho Lord and Lady Procession Festival will be held.

Suphan Buri: The "Suphan Buri Spring Festival Celebration — 18 Years of the Heavenly Dragon" will take place at the Museum of the Descendants of the Dragon.
