Located in Harbin's Daoli District, Heilongjiang Province, Central Street stretches 1,450 meters from the Flood Control Memorial Tower on the riverbank to Xinyang Square in the south. Established in 1898 and measuring 21.34 meters wide, Central Street is Harbin's definitive commercial pedestrian street, celebrated as the longest and best-preserved European-style pedestrian street in Asia.

Cobblestone Pavement: A defining feature of Central Street, its unique street surface is paved with nearly 800,000 smooth, rounded cobblestones, affectionately known as "bread stones," which have endured the wear of a century.
Gallery of European Architectural Styles: Lining both sides of the street are over 70 European-style buildings, showcasing a spectrum of movements including Renaissance, Baroque, Eclecticism, and Art Nouveau. This architectural showcase serves as a melting pot where diverse cultures converge.

Flood Control Memorial Tower and Stalin Park: Located at the northern terminus of Central Street, this landmark commemorates Harbin's triumph over the devastating 1957 flood. It serves as a key connecting point within the landscape along the Songhua River.

Modern Hotel: Constructed in 1906, this establishment is a prime example of Art Nouveau architecture. Be sure not to miss its famous ice cream bar, the Modern Binggun (ice suckers), and the musical performances often held on its balconies.

Huamei Western Restaurant: Founded in 1925, this establishment stands as one of the oldest restaurants in Harbin serving authentic Russian cuisine. It is recognized as one of China's "Big Four" Western-style restaurants, alongside the Red House Restaurant in Shanghai, Maxim's in Beijing, and Kiessling's in Tianjin.

Matsuura Hiroyuki (the present Jiaoyu Bookstore): Built in 1906 in the Baroque style, this building is considered the architectural gem of Central Street. In 2004, the Ministry of Construction and the Chinese Academy of Engineering recognized Matsuura Hiroyuki as one of the 100 most representative historical structures in China.

Central Street Bookstore: Originally Mizuno Foreign Firm, this building, constructed in 1919, is a prime example of Eclecticism in architecture and now operates as a specialized bookstore and cultural venue.
Saint Sophia Cathedral: A 15-minute walk from Central Street. At dusk, the illuminated dome is mirrored beautifully by the surrounding fountain. It is highly recommended to photograph the full exterior view and the frescoes inside the nave.

Russian Cuisine: Huamei Western Restaurant, Tatoc Western Restaurant, and Lucia Coffee Restaurant.
Local Specialties/Snacks: Modern Binggun, Qiulin Kvass (a traditional fermented rye beverage), Harbin Red Sausage, and Dalieba (a Chinese bread similar to Russian rye bread).
Northeast Chinese Cuisine: Lao Chu Jia (the original restaurant famous for inventing Guo Bao Rou, or Sweet and Sour Pork) and Yushi Ziwei Hall.
Balcony Music Show: Throughout the summer months, balconies on buildings like the Modern Hotel host intimate musical performances, echoing the city's celebrated heritage as a "City of Music."
Ice and Snow Art Festival (Winter): During the colder season, Central Street is transformed into a spectacular winter wonderland, adorned with intricate ice sculptures and snow carvings.
European-Themed Parades: On holidays, Central Street may feature interactive activities such as Cosplay parades.
Nighttime Light Show: As dusk settles, the buildings light up, their glow reflecting beautifully off the cobblestone streets, creating a distinctly romantic ambiance.

Operating Hours: Central Street itself is accessible 24/7, but hours vary for specific indoor attractions (like the Architecture Museum) and dining establishments.
Payment Options: Most businesses accept WeChat Pay, Alipay, and major international credit cards (Visa/Mastercard).
Multilingual Services: The Visitor Center offers information and consultation in both Mandarin and English. Many key merchants also provide English menus or offer basic English service.
