Xiajiang Village is located in Fengshuling Town, Chun'an County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province. Adjacent to Qiandao Lake, it is known as the graceful dwellings nestled among gorges and streams.
In recent years, Xiajiang Village has embraced green development, promoting rural revitalization through industrial growth. Today, it has transformed from a once impoverished mountain valley with descriptions such as "earthen–walled houses, charcoal burning for survival, barely enough food to last half the year—a place where families would not marry their daughters to Xiajiang men" into a prosperous and beautiful village with "thriving farm stays, busy homestays, fragrant fruits, and streams of visitors".

"Xiajiang" brand products such as farmhouse sauces, dried fruit snacks, and camellia oil have become popular souvenirs for tourists. The yellow gardenias, once harvested solely as medicinal materials, have now become fields of ornamental gardenia blossoms, extending the agricultural value chain. Idle old houses have been transformed into boutique homestays and "Xiajiang People's Home" (a restaurant converted from the former village pigsty), becoming ideal leisure retreats for urban residents. Folklore and cultural events, such as the Xiajiang Photography Exhibition and the Red Sorghum Cultural Tourism Festival, are vibrant and diverse, offering visitors joyful, memorable moments.
