2026 Happy Chinese New Year | Singapore

As the Spring Festival approaches, the festive atmosphere is growing stronger. To celebrate the upcoming Year of the Horse in the Chinese lunar calendar, the China Cultural Centre in Singapore (CCCS) has elaborately devised the "Happy Chinese New Year" series, which are about to kick off soon!

 (I) The Spring Festival Cultural Exhibition themed "Celebrating the Harmony Spring with Galloping Horses"

Co-organized by the China Cultural Centre in Singapore and the Chinese Traditional Culture Museum (China Intangible Cultural Heritage Museum), this exhibition presents a collection of highly representative Chinese folk artworks recognized as intangible cultural heritage, offering visitors a comprehensive experience of the festive atmosphere and cultural significance of the Spring Festival.

Time: February 7 to April 5, 2026, 11:00–17:30 (Closed on Mondays and Singapore public holidays; also closed during the Chinese Spring Festival holiday from February 17 to 22) (Free admission)

 (II) 2026 Happy Chinese New Year · Minnan Cultural Showcase Performance

This event brings together distinctive Fujian-style performances — Liyuan opera, Nanyin music, string puppetry and dances recognized as intangible cultural heritage — showcasing the diverse charm of Quanzhou's living traditions. Complementary hands-on activities include trying on floral headwear, attending a gongfu tea demonstration and sampling incense-making techniques, giving visitors an immersive experience of Minnan (southern Fujian) culture.

 (III) "Spring Journey Begins: Hello, China!" — China Travel Itinerary Promotion Event

This pre–Spring Festival event features travel agencies showcasing curated itineraries and popular destinations in China. Complementary activities include a tea-appreciation session with tea and pastry tasting and lucky draws, inviting participants to sample traditional festive customs and start the new year with a tour to explore China.

 (IV) Public-benefit event: ICH Aesthetic Education Workshop — Creative Experience: Painting the Auspicious Horse

This workshop blends traditional Chinese motifs with contemporary art, offering a hands-on painting session themed on the Auspicious Horse to welcome 2026.

 (V) Chinese New Year Concert

Ding Yi Music Company teams up with Sichuan's Beauty and Melody and Hong Kong's Windpipe Chinese Music Ensemble for a vibrant concert featuring newly arranged classics alongside signature works from each ensemble.

 (VI) 2026 Happy Lantern Festival Crosstalk Show
